Innovation Crescent-based Georgia Quick Start has been ranked the nation’s #1 workforce training program since 2001. Its internationally-acclaimed workforce development program provides training to qualified new, expanding and existing businesses in Georgia free-of-charge, and has done so for more than 40 years. Quick Start delivers training in classrooms, mobile labs or directly on the plant floor, wherever it works best for a company.
Georgia BioScience Training Center
The state-of-the-art Georgia BioScience Training Center near Shire PLC (formerly Baxter International and Baxalta Inc.) in the Innovation Crescent supports training for Shire employees, as well as new life science companies that choose to locate in Georgia.

Georgia Department of Economic Development Workforce Division
The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Workforce Division adds a workforce development team to Georgia’s economic development assets, providing additional resources to new and existing companies in Georgia.
While the Workforce Division’s primary responsibility is managing the Workforce Investment Act (WIOA) under the leadership of the State Workforce Development Board – the office is also focused on the broader mission of ensuring that education and training in Georgia is geared toward in-demand jobs. The Workforce Division plays a critical role in keeping Georgia the No. 1 state in the nation to do business.
